AP Courses
Accept the Challenge
Trinity Catholic High School is a college preparatory school so challenging our students with college-level academics is a natural part of their training. Our AP teachers are focused on providing our students with the tools, resources, and skills necessary for achieving success at the college level. You can find in-depth information about the program and its benefits at the College Board website, including videos of students sharing how AP courses have impacted their college opportunities and choices.
Advanced Placement Capstone Diploma and Certificate
AP Capstone™ is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. AP Capstone comprises two AP courses, AP Seminar (Junior Year) and AP Research (Senior Year), which are designed to complement and enhance the discipline-specific study in other AP courses.
Many colleges recognize AP Capstone awards in their admissions process. AP Capstone candidates stand out:
- On college applications and essays because they demonstrate critical thinking, communication, and research skills associated with AP Capstone
- In college interviews because of the confidence, expertise, and passion they show when they talk about their unique academic projects.
- To college admission officers, who recognize that AP Capstone students know how to build evidence-based arguments, apply research methods, work in teams, deliver professional presentations, and complete long-term academic projects.

Dual Enrollment
Earn College Credits in High School
Dual enrollment courses are college courses that students can take during high school that count both for high school and for college credit. They are typically taken by students that are looking for a challenge, a competitive advantage in enrollment, and getting a head start on their college coursework.
Trinity Catholic has partnered with four colleges for the purpose of offering dual enrollment for our students:
Barry University
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Saint Leo University
College of Central Florida
Trinity Catholic students may pursue an Associate in Arts degree simultaneous to earning a TCHS diploma, thanks to an expanded dual enrollment relationship with the College of Central Florida.
The dual enrollment courses are listed in the 2019-2020 Curriculum Guide are designated with a “DE” proceeding the name of the course. Please contact a member of the Guidance department staff regarding the process for enrolling in dual enrollment coursework.
