Athletics

In cooperation with the Florida High School Athletic Association, Trinity Catholic athletic programs for both boys and girls are an integral part of the school experience. The school's coaches, under the leadership of the Athletic Director, supervise these activities.

Trinity Catholic is subject to the by-laws of the Florida High School Athletic Association. It is state law that a student meets the following academic criteria in order to participate in interscholastic athletic competition.

Participation in the extracurricular program is dependent upon behavior and weekly classroom performance. Ninth and tenth grade student athletes that fall below the 2.0 cumulative GPA can participate in athletics on a semester basis if the student:

  1. Earns a 2.0 GPA the previous semester
  2. Signs an academic performance contract
  3. Attends summer school as necessary

Eleventh and twelfth grade student athletes must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. If a student fails to meet these standards, he/she will remain ineligible until the proper cumulative GPA is attained.

Trinity Catholic supports the guidelines regarding sportsmanship. Sportsmanship applies to players, coaches, student fans, parents and guests.
