Star Wars Meets Shakespeare!
My senior year at TC we finally got a full-on official Drama Troupe. When the time came for our very first Shakespeare Festival we took pieces of old plays and poems and lots of old Shakespeare stuff and remixed them the way we wanted. My brother and our friend Stephen did a take on the battle between MacBeath and MacDuff, turning it into Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader, with a guest appearence by Obi Wan Kenobi's ghost! It was great! We did the classic words and dueled, MacBeath (Jason) disarmed me and my foam nerf sword flew the wrong way and almost took out half the staff! I thought Brother Ryan was gonna' kill me! But just when it looks like I'm doomed I bust out a lightsaber and he pulls one out too! We do epic battle weilding the power of the Force and red and green lightsabers! It was awesome with lots of jokes like Stephen (Obi Wan) calling me (MacDuff) Luke and me babbling about who this disembodied spirit was. LOL It was great, I managed to stab Lord Vader and be victorious! The crowd loved it! But then, just when I was about to take a bow Obi Wan's ghost stabs me in the back and tells me to "Listen to my elders!" The crowd went wild! We stole the whole show! One of my greatest TC memories of all time!
